How is it that an L88 bonnet hits the radiator shroud?
Is your shroud modified? or possibly not fitted correctly? too high?
The short style L88 bonnets are the same shape as the long ones. except the long ones allow you to remove all the wiper door hardware.
If you have issues with the long style L88 bonnet with the radiator shroud, then getting the short style won't solve your problem.
And you'll need to restore all the wiper door hardware....
I'd be looking at getting the shroud sitting correctly.
OT,
Love that engine compartment!!!! Is EVERYTHING switched from side to side or just ALMOST everything?
You've got to really love a car to do all that work!!!!
Regards,
Alan
It's what we call a mirror conversion.... the firewall is competely re-fabricated to accomodate the steering and pedals to the right side... Lot of custom work to get it looking good and working right.
Heater and A/C reloaction is also necessary.
But to answer your question.... yes, you need to be keen.
The conversion was necessary for registration when it arrived in Australia about 15 years ago. We now have a system here that allows us to register original left hand drive vehicles if they are over 30 years old.
