Default head light issues

Need some help. I have a 72 coupe 454 and I am having to use the manual control for raising the head lights. Today the right head light will not return to the down position. Any advice on how to lower it?

Craw under the front end and you can pull on the linkage to make it come down. The linkage "splits" in the center and travels towards the ground.
