Default Another Poly Bushing Grease Question

1980 L48
new rear susp polyurethane bushings

I read somewhere to use a silicone based gease- I bought some and when I spary it on it seems very watery (for lack of a better term) and it is clear.

Is this what it should look and feel like?

People here are talking about using a thick marine grease that sticks to the bushings and metal.

Does anyone have a name brand grease that is sold at Autozone or Murrays (they are local to the Detroit Area)?

I only want to grease these once this year!!!

I just bought some "Evinrude & Johnson" marine grease at a marine supply store. Its extremely sticky stuff, and says its 100% waterproof tright on the tube. I think it cost me $8 - try any marine supply store, they should have what you are looking for.

Actually, VB&P recommended using this type of grease in the assembly instructions that came with My poly control arm bushings.

You're not looking for thin spray on lubes here, rather good ole thick sticky, gooey grease such as a marine grade or synthetic with high resistance to wash out. Personally, I like Amsoil's...

I like the stuff Energy Suspension sells. It's not cheap, but then again, I don't want to take those bushings back out.
