82 speedometer question
If I remove the speedometer pointer does it have to be put back on in a specific position to be accurate? I have a bad speedometer head in my car and I have an old 82 speedometer that works but the face of it is in rough shape with lots of rust spots. I want to transfer my current face onto the other speedo.

When you put the needle back on turn it counter clock wise while pushing in. Stop when you get it set on zero and feel that it has bottomed out. When you are done the needle will stay at zero and your ready to go.
