Default McJacks headers

Ran across this site with some interesting options for ram horn headers. Maybe a bit pricey but hadnt seen this company before.

Small shop on harbor oc Ca, selling 9-10 cars , sold me a rebuilt rear end.that clunked. He farms his stuff out found myself at a closed gas station talking to "rebuilder" later found out rear end had bad yokes .This was in mid 90s but I'll never forget! yes he was nice on the phone but HE WILL NOT STAND BEHIND HIS FARMED OUT WORK

They look very nice, for that kind of money they should be!
The guys that port/polish the old rams horns claim a 4-8 hp gain.
These should do much better than that. Any guesstimates from the forum?

I have a 78 L-82 4speed, mostly stock with true duals (2.5in), monza turbos, no emissions at all, Holly 4175, and some other minor mods. I added McJack's shorty headers about 6 months ago and they are a piece of art. They are definitely an improvement over the stock manifolds and the exhaust definitely picked up some airflow at higher RPM's with zero engine or ground clearance issues which is why I was interested in them for the street. They hook directly up to stock pipes in the original location. I used lock washers and high temperature loctite on the header bolts and have had zero issues with leaks. The headers also have a nice thick flange for sealing and are custom made by Jack, not farmed out. Let me know if you want more feedback

I have a 77 with a TH350 and would like to use the McJacks headers. Can you tell me what exhaust pipes are used to connect to the 2.5 outlet at the stock location and provide true duals (no cats). Can I use a front pipe from a 63 - 65 fulie and then any 2.5" pipe from a 68 - 72 automatic? I am unsure because the autos from that time period were TH400's. Don't know if that matters since the frames are all the same.

I do not want full length headers. Looking for an exhaust system that will bolt up to "shorty" headers with a 2.5" outlet at the stock location. The McJack headers are the only ones I have found that have the outlet at the stock location.

Won't the stock L-98 manifolds bolt in the stock location?

This Company is actually McJacks Corvettes. I got a set for my 82, and Jack really took the time to help me out. I wanted my AC Pump to be held in the same location as before, and his headers fit like a glove. They have a bracket that holds the AC Pump in the same spot as before. These headers directly replaced my 82 stock manifolds and hooked up in one afternoon. I can def. vouch for his headers.
