Default Need help decoding engine block

I have a 69 vette that has a 1970 body on it with a Big block. I was told it has a nom which I was told it is a 396 the numbers on the block are: TI2056LX OR TI2056TX These numbers are on the pass side of the block in front of the head. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't decipher the TI2056 part... but according to the 1968-1982 Corvette Restoration guide, the 1969 Engine Code Item LX is described as "427/435 L71 with Holley 3x2 carburetors, mechanical lifters, and automatic..." - It should be easy enough to see if this description even closely resembles what you have...

Not sure if that helps... sounds to me like its been pieced together... hopefully someone else will know more..
