Very little vacuum
I'm getting very little vacuum from the manifold. Car barely runs, rpms are all over and car bogs. Im assuming I have a leak from my poor mans used and modified manifold. I checked the vacuum strait from the manifold hose and it feels very weak. I just pieced this engine together - mild 268H comp cam, trick flow heads, and a very used old edelbrock performer. I've played with all different timings. Is it safe to assume its my manifold? I pic.. to show off my poor man afold. ha

Did you remove [and seal off] the power brake line in addition to everything else? If not, take all vacuum lines off, hook up a vacuum gage to one of the fittings and seal off the others. Then see what you get at idle. [Note: You can leave the dist. vacuum can hooked up, but if you still find low vacuum, pull that line, too and put your thumb over the open end of the line so it will seal. The dist. advance unit can be the cause of the leakage, too. [My guess is that the power brake booster is your problem.]
