I have pypes violateors and they sound good. Not too bad when cruising but hit the pedal and they make alot of noise, in a good way. You can hear the power they don' sound like a muffler that makes your car sound powerful (if you know what I mean).

Dynomax Super Turbos for me. I originally had dual chambered but the sound got old to my ears after a couple of years. I eventually settled on Hedman headers, x-pipe and Super Turbos.

You dont need loud, the Walkers let the HP do the talking...
I have the DynoMax on my 68 L36. Nice muscle car sound but not too loud. No resonance and they flow as well as anything out there and better than most. High quality construction and they look right.

Try these. I have a set of these and they are sweet. Allens is the manufacturer.

Super turbos on an LS1 C3 here - had terrible resonance with old L48 y pipes and old mufflers.

Depends on HP of the motor. Stocker=Dynomax Super Turbos are very good as are Stainlessworks/Allens exhaust mufflers (use stock hangers), and Mangnaflows (custom hangers.) High HP, I like Dynomax Ultra Flow, Magnaflows, older Edelbrocks, and Borlas.

On my rebuilt 355, I like the Flowmaster Delta 40's- 2 1/2 inch duals have a nice rumble and a good torquey flow.

I was told that the Flowmasters, at idle, resonated to the point that it would drive you nuts. I went with Magnaflows (whatever Corvette Central sells) and they are AWESOME.

I used to have the chambered under car exhaust. After a while, the fiberglass is gone and they were just too loud.

Currently, I'm running Magnaflows and I love them. A nice rumble without attracting unwanted attention. Everyone who's had a ride in my
Vette loved the sound.

You can't go wrong with either Magnaflows or Dynamax Ultra-flos. They both have reasonable sound control but then they sound off very nicely when you go WOT. The Magnaflows I heard close up were on my neighbor's award winning 55 Chevy w/ a 383 and I was surprised how loud they were under throttle while standing behind the car. They had almost a blatty type sound but that could have simply been a result of the pipe configuration in front of them.

I think you'd be happy with either choice. I had Flowmasters on the Z28 in my avatar & not only did they not perform well but they droned. When I changed to the current Ultra-flos I got all of my lost power back & exactly the sound I was looking for.

Glasspacks and chambered systems are different, it sounds like you're talking about the former.

I'm personally familiar with a SuperCharged Mustang Cobra with Borla's, and it is one of the coolest sounding cars I've ever heard. I like the Borla's so much that I already bought them for my 540 that isn't even done yet.
They do sound great...I'm thinking of running them on my '81 (with Hooker Super Comp LT headers). Should sound good with my 12.3:1 383!

What brand / model number headers (specific to Brooklinite)? I've had problems with fit in the past and don't want to go through it again. Thanks.
