Default TH350 shift cable bracket

Anybody have a pic of theirs? Mine looks like its handmade or something. I just changed the shifter cable out, and I compared them, they were identical length and make. But now when I shift the car into park, the tranny side wont go into park on its own, I have to push it into park, it wants to stop in reverse. The new cable gets a bent out of whack, like its not strong enough to push it the last notch. I am hoping its the bracket.

you may have to pull off your pan again. your bracket may well be prob located in the correct holes but if you have changed to an aftermarket pan, particularly one of the deeper ones the nut may be contacting the side of the pan. you will see it when someone activates 1,2,3,d,n,r. what you have to do is take off the nut and then swing the internal connection around so that the nut is on the other side of the post where it connects. sorry have no pics of this.

I did install an aftermarket pan, but the bracket piece that secures the cable to the pan just doesnt look right. I cant see where its rubbing anywhere but I will get somebody to shift it out this afternoon while I am under there and check.
