Does anyone know if the stock push rods on a 1976 L48 350 engine; are they harded steel so they can be used with harded push rod guide plates on a set of new heads? If not would you recommend using the stock push rods?

GM Performance Parts #12495491 (available from Scoggin Dickey for $39.95). In my opinion this is a superior design when compared to the cheaper pressed-in ball end style.
Comp Cam's, # CCA-7812-16, stock length, hardened for guide plates, welded in tips . Summit has some that are hardened, welded tips in there brand, $26.95
SUM-G6400 no telling who"s pushrods summit is repackaging.
