Default Can anyone identify this part?

70 vette standard steering column.

I was replacing the sector gear and found this (my avatar) just under the lock plate and the Turn signal switch inside the bearing housing.

I had a broken sector gear and have not put everything together yet.

It is the detent spring for your turn signal switch.
