Transgo Install Complete . . . Love-it!!!

I’ve heard many say that installing the shift kit was one of the best upgrades they’ve done. I’d have to agree with them. Now it shifts smoothly between gears and not too early at low throttle. At WOT, it screams and shifts before I’m out of the power band; it barks the tires and keeps accelerating. I adjusted the kick-down per their instructions and now when I hit about half throttle, it kicks down and goes. It is so much more fun to drive now. BTW, I chose the Street/Strip option over the HeavyDuty one.
I found the video very helpful and the instructions were pretty straight forward except I had installed the S-link (mine is kind of Z shaped) incorrectly. I had no forward gears and only had reverse when in 1st (LOW). Okay, stupid me, it was my first time installing and I had a 50/50 chance of getting right (or wrong). I finally it figured out, but cracked my aluminum pan when I was putting back together (the 4th or 5th time).
I was ready to scream. I got a new pan and now life is good. Lesson learned – read the directions very carefully and fully understand. Transgo had the correct info in the directions, but I sure wish they had warned me about the S-link; sure would have saved me some time. I really had to study the diagrams to figure out what I did wrong.Another interesting note, when I dissembled, only one check ball was installed and NO spring in the Actuator/Modulator. Obviously PO had modified, but not very well IMHO.
