Does anyone know the proper way to wire a PowerMaster PowerMAX 9100 mini starter to a Vette? The reason I ask is there are not the same studs on the starter selenoid as the original had. I basically have 2 heavy leads w/ fusable links that are tied together at the end w/ one large ring terminal, one ground lead (goes to bell housing stud) & one heavy lead w/ a small ring end terminal that used to go to the "R" terminal on the original starter selenoid. The PowerMaster doesnt have a "R" stud?? Powermaster said to cap that lead off as I dont need it?? Sounds odd to me. HELP
Thanks but your 69 is different, I have a 78 & have no relay on the fender. I'll call Powermaster again, but they dont seem versed on specific vehicles.

Try it without it attached to anything - most of the time, all works fine without it. If you do have starting issues, there is a way to wire that lead to the large, bottom stud, but you need a diode in line to prevent voltage back flow.
You will probably be fine with it taped off, though. Nothing at all to risk or loose by trying.
What the wire does is bypass the resistor wire to the coil during starting. No other purpose whatsoever.

Thanks, I beleive that's what Powermaster was trying to explain, but you did a better job. Since I dont have points & run MSD I probably dont require it. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 2 into 1 heavy leads with the fusable links can just go to the same stud as my battery cable, correct? As it has a large ring terminal.
