Default Expansion Tank
I have a 69 small block 350/300. I have no expansion tank. Was this normal on this engine or was the tank removed. Thanks

My "Corvette restoration guide" says " Some 68' and 69' Corvettes are fitted with and aluminum expansion tank, some are fitted with a brass tank and some don't have a tank at all". The book doesn't say why some don't have them.

Manual trans with A/C, or Automatic Trans
Radiator - Copper
Exp Tank - None

Manual trans without A/C
Radiator - Aluminum
Exp Tank - Aluminum

Sorry to intrude but since we are on expansion tanks. I have a 71 Big block how much fluid should be in the expansion tank when it is cold.
