Spreadbore Intake On 81
Just won a Ebay bid on a Carter AFB spreadbore carb. Seller swears
ita a spreadbore and will bolt directly on the stock 81 spreadbore manafold with out an adapter. Has anyone ever seen a AFB or Edelbrook spreadbore carb? I know Holley has them. Also does anyone
know if there is hood clearance with a 3/4" adapter if this turns out to
be a squarebore bolt pattern. Looks close to me. Jay

certainly no carter pro ... but if truly a spreadbore then it's likely a carter thermoquad than an afb ... fyi, TQ usually "acquired taste" not unlike SU carb / Lucas elec.
