Default need help with my choke...

okay, i made the mistake of buying a chiltons manual. i know, i'm an idiot, but that's beside the point,

the air intake has to come off to work on the choke i'm assuming. i'm good at following instructions, but don't have any. can someone give me a little assistance?

it warms like it should, but it never comes off the high idle when the engine is warm. i've only owned the car for a month and a half and put over 3000 miles on it, and it just started doing this a day or two ago...

and doing a little reading in other threads, the ones i could find, i see the car has to be completely cold, which means i'll probably have to work on it in the morning.

edit: since you aren't mind readers, i try to remember to say, i have an all stock '80 L48, with auto...

Just for the record, Chilton's isnt all bad, if you can find one thats pre-85. After that they got litigation shy, and didn't put much useful information in them.
