The pot metal on the inside of my float bowl and metering plates in the carb is deteriorating and flaking off. It's getting into the fuel system and plugging it up. Has anyone heard of this problem on a Holley carb? What do I have to do? Replacing the float bowls and metering plates may not be cost effective. I have a dealer pricing it out but won’t have #’s until tomorrow morning.
Anyone with ideas or thoughts?
If I have to replace the carb I will be putting a new post about what carb to get.
If the carb is a new or newer Holley it may be a warranty issue. Holley did have a problem with the metal coatings in the recent past so you may want to call thier tech line if it is a newer carb to see if they will replace the carb under warranty.

even if its out of warranty Holley will help you out, Just call them and let them know what issue you are having. I have a 39 year old tri carb setup and they have helped me twice without cost to me. The customer service is great IMO.
Problem solved. Great customer service at Holley. Phoned Shane this morning and there was NO hesitation at all. He just asked for the build date and then got my shipping info. Will ship it out today.
