engine insall questions
on a 78 does the heater core vacuum valve go on the inside or outside inlet\outlet. I think it was on the outside but can't remember. 2nd I swaped a 2004r for my OE th350 along with the engine swap and the shifter cable does not look enven close to fitting right. am I looking at something wrong? I don't have the bracket hooked up yet but still looks like it is going to be too long.

I've had a few brewskies tonight and can't remember about the heater hose right off bat and my 79 is in the shop so I can't have a look. Anyways, the TH350 shifter cable should be OK but the bracket that the cable attaches to at the tranny is different. Bow Tie Overdrive has what you need. You might want to also ask about their shifter detent kit.
