hey guys, was just wondering why there isn't a drain plug for the tranny pan in the TH-400 thanks everybody

C the other thread.....considered by pros to be a time waster, another source for a leak, etc.....and of course at a nickel each times 20 million cars/year...well.....MONEY.....

The tranny is good for 36K miles when you are to change oil and filter. You can't change the filter without pulling the pan. GM saved about $.50 on the plug and $.50 on installation by not putting one in. That's about it.
