Engine block ID confussion need recomendation please..
As some of you know I blew my engine at the track a few weeks ago and I am trying to find another block so I can start the process over again, but with much better internals.
My casting is 14093638 (4bolt) one piece rear main seal using a hyd roller.
My goal is to only reuse the lifters, cam, heads, pan and timming chain everything else below will be replaced with a forged setup form Eagle. However, I can't find a block anywhere close by and prefer not to just buy one from e-bay or racing junk etc. becasue you never know what your gonna get if you know what I mean.
This being said, I am wondering if there is another block casting that I could use without masive block work required. I wanted this to be a simple swap of components after I have the block checked, decks squared, honed, bla bla bla.
I was looking at 14101148, but I do not know if it will accept a roller cam?
Worse case is I will order a short block from CNC Motorsports, but they have a min 4 week lead time and I prefer to be involved in the block machining process.
Thanks guys!
