Ignition Switch Wiring
My 68 switch did not have a ground wiring going to it, but I noticed a black wire on a connector that was missing it's lead. I installed a new lead and reconnected to the harness plug. Was this correct. The black wire had a plug pigtail about 3" down the wire and I assume that is where you plug in the pigtail for the auto neutral safety switch.
I hope I'm not screwing this up, but bubba has left me a mess.

I might have an old harness and I do have a spare switch, I'll try to see if I can find out for you Bud. If that fails I'll see what I can find in the AIM.

Bud,
I'm sorry but I didn't have any luck finding that old harness. I was thinking of the wrong one.
I'll still try to find something in my AIM but that thing kills my eyes.

I just thought of something, I bet that's the ground for the light in the switch.
I'll end up getting to mine someday, I didn't know about that little light but now that I do I want the damn thing to work.

You can change that light in about two minutes, just remove the little corvette center plate and it's right there.
