I just stared at the website for a while, looked around at different sites. Does the light still have the same broad illumination as a bulb, or is it speckled? Also, where's the turn signal flasher on our cars?

Re: LED tail lights and turn signals (Pacin'California)
Once installed, you do NOT see the 15 individual LED's. They shine just like a bulb and the lens makes sure of that!
The flasher is on your fuse panel. A round thing, size of a quarter or more, just under 1" in height. Fuse panel on my 82 is on the inside firewall, just left and above brake. Find it by kneeling on ground, twisting neck up and to the left while it is below the steering wheel!
Larry82, thanks for this post. I think I've seen these things before, but not really thought too much about them. I've bookmarked the link and will probably get a pair. I'm not sure that I'll use them on the Corvette since I just put the bubble lights on and I think they're plenty bright (part of the reason they're on there), but the tail lights on the other vehicles I have are not terribly bright. I think I'll give them a try there.
It'd be nice if you could do some pics with one side LED & the other side incandescent.
Larry,
They are expensive. Can you get a digital pic from a friend to post? I am pretty happy with the below #1157s: $0.85. I am not being facetious, just wish to know the advantage.
Re: LED tail lights and turn signals (Pacin'California)
All these complaints about LED's being too bright are just what I wanted to hear! I'm changing all of mine to LED's! The whole IDEA of brake lights is to startle, to wake up the driver behind me and make him STOP rather than ram me because his mind was otherwise occupied! I've been hit in the rear a number of times in the last 45 years of driving - ANYTHING I can do to get through the head of the driver behind me that I am SLOWING or STOPPING is WORTH any aggravation I might provide for him as well as the responsible drivers behind me! My suggestion is that as in welding, DON'T stare at the light!
I missed the obvious. Have seen a few of those around. Cannot figure out how they are legal.
Caddys have them as standards now. And I will say that I was behind one the other night and was seeing two big red rectangles for several mins after he applied the brakes. Those things are BRIGHT!!!!
Larry,
You are saying you had the stock lenses, stock bulbs, and stock flasher. When you would hit the the brakes..you had the reddish orange light emit throught the stock lenses? You now replaced the stock bulbs with these l.e.d. bulbs and the color you get through you stock lens's is now much deeper red??
Did you have to change out the stock brake/turn signal flasher when you did this mod?
Once you guys change out the rear lights. And depending on the flasher answer... Correct me if I am wrong, but...isnt there a flasher for turn signals and one for hazards..or is it all in the same one? So if someone changes only the rear brake lights out with these l.e.d. lights..will they have to also change out the front and side running/signal lights in order to make an electric flasher work?
If you don't change out the front lights..will they still function the same with a electric flasher setup that is having to be used becuase of the rear brake light mod?? Sorry for so many questions guys..
Thanks in advance for the info!!! Joe!

Here goes my flame suit. They are bright, but are really aggravating when you are the one behind them. Ever drive up at a light, and the person in front is running them? Some are so bright, you have to squint your eyes.
Ok, sling it my way!
I agree that yes they are bright and border line obnoxious, but when faced with the choice of seeing a wadded up vette due to someone not seeing my lights or having a good car with bright lights, gimme the latter!
