I went to a neighborhood muscle car party friday night and had a blast. They start dragging out race videos of their cars and  . One of my neighbors is the current muscle car king of the hill and some of the others are all running 12's. One even owns a 10 second Vega. Heres the list of cars present.
70 442 Vert'
68 Roadrunner
69 Shelby Rustang (BB)
70 Torino GT Vert
Vega SuperGas
91 Vette
65 OLDs
72 Buick Skylark GS Replic
88 Vette
(2)69 Trans Am's (Real)
Kind of makes you wonder about what the neighbours think! I hosted a barbeque at my house once for our Corvette club. There was like 12 Corvette's in my bay, four of which were on the driveway. I should have taken pictures....rats.
How many of them were running 12s? I could only imagine the BS :)...sounds a lot like the guys I hang around with. It's a blast talking to them and hearing some of their stories. Here are the quick cars my buddies own:
'94 Mustang GT - 514ci Cobra Jet BB (11.50s On Street Tires!)
'80 Camaro - 454ci BB (11.60s On Slicks)
'73 Duster - 383ci BB (12.50s On Street Tires)
'84 Mustang - 347ci Stroker (Not Sure What It Runs)
I'm hoping that the 454 big block will put me in the high 12s.
Couple months back the local group of corvette guys here had burnout contest at a guys house, impressive to see 70 thru 2001 vettes doing 100 foot burnouts, rubber is still there. :D :D :D :D
