Ignition Module Fried Today
Went to start my 75 with no luck. Turning over but no start. I hooked up an inline spark tester and found the problem was no spark. If you own an electronic ignition C3 the first thing to check or replace is the module, for which I always keep a spare. The only tool you need to replace it is a multitip screwdriver. The module was an original GM but the heat sink goo had pretty much dried up over the years. I'm guessing that heat got to it after my wife parked the car. I replaced it with a Wells unit that didn't cost much (around $10-15) IIRC. If anyone thinks it's likely to cause me problems in the near future let me know if it's worth it to get a GM module. Anyway I was lucky my wife wasn't driving it and it quit in the garage. The bottom line is to ALWAYS carry a spare module.
