Complete Overhaul
It's not something I'm considering of in the near future, but I assume the time will come sooner or later. My Stock C3 (L-48 base engine) currently has about 235,000 kilometres (150,000 miles). I'm not sure what it clicks up to, but it definitely isn't 1,000,000. So when the time does come that it craps out, (hopefully not soon, knock on wood) I'd be interested in a complete overhaul.
Brand new Transmission - No idea what type would be good.
Brand new engine - How is the 350HP ZZ4 crate motor?
Anything else you can think of that would need changing.
I could use a really rough estimate on the Parts and Labour. (I'm in Canada but the prices should be similar.)
Also, would a Chevy/GM dealership do this? What type of people do these after-market changes? I'd probably try doing it but I don't have the tools nor knowledge.

If you do some searches on things like "crate motor", "ZZ4", "transmission swap" you will find all kinds of information. Replacing an engine/trans in a Vette is no harder than any other car (lots of "depends" here) provided the trans mounts line up.
