Default Hydraulic Clutch Question

You guys have been great with help and to keep it corvette related I wish I had Hydraulic clutch and may have to do that. The real question is my son's 2004 Cavalier's clutch padel feels like there is no clutch or like My C3 with air in the brake lines. Car has 32,000 miles so I think the clutch is fine. No slipping and no gear grinding while driving, just pedal is hard and clutch engages very quickly and no pedal.

Any thoughts.

Thanks

Well, it needed a clutch. I guess someone has been doing hole shots or running at the track. At 32,000 miles thought it was the slave cylinder. I learned there is no adjustment and junior told me he checked the fluid a while back and it was empty. I told him thats a good sign you using up the clutch.

Kids, i just love them

Interesting the clutch didn't slip since that's what they usually do when they're done for. Of course, a Cavalier doesn't have that much power...

The clutch never slipped and I was trying to make it slip. But it makes sense now. My son told me the resivor was empty and he needed to fill it. I figured it may of dripped empty when he was changing his air intake, or the slave was leaking in the trans. No fluid on the ground and the clutch wasn't slipping, but now I know it was empty because there was no more clutch. Wait till he finds out he's paying half the bill. That will keep his foot out of it.
