I just replaced the starter, had no problems starting it, in fact turn it off/on 3 times. Went to get gas for the day and car WOULD NOT turn on. No noise, battery checks ok and its charged. Is it possible; to have a bad starter even though its new?

I need some help guys!!! PLEASE!!!!
Is anything else not working? sounds like a burnt fuse link or a loose wire.
It is possible that you got a bad starter. It has happened to be but it's more likely that it is a loose or bad wire. Check that you have everything hooked up correctly. Then I would check your grounds and other wires running to the starter. Those wires are pretty old. Moving them around while replacing the starter might have done one of them in. Good Luck
It could be the ignition switch or the wire between the switch and the starter. Check if you're getting 12V at the starter when someone twists the key.
Check your neutral safety switch, if you have an auto transmission, other wise chck the switch on the clutch lever, if it isn't made starter won't engage.....
Looked over everything, checked the wires--connected exactly how they were BEFORE I placed the new starter, brother came over and guess he "jumped" started the motor...after the car was on for about 5mins. He told me to SHUT it OFF. Then attempted to restart...nothing. He noticed that one black wire coming from the front bracket that holds the starter up was touching the headers. The wire melted through..and the metal wires were showing...would this prevent the car from starting? He jumped the motor with a screw driver?! I hope he didn't fry anything ...please comments~

The Black wire should be connected to your block(ground) not the starter.

It keeps you from starting the car in gear. Check that you have 12 volts on the purple wire at you starter when the key is in the start position. If the problem is in your NSS you will not have 12v on that purple wire.
