i have a 68 that had manual steering i changed to power with a steering convertion kit from keen the promble i have is i have about a inch @ half of play i used the manual steering box everthing is new but that is there any way to take up that play that pete
First are you sure the play is in the box? The stock boxes do have some slop in them but be certain before you attempt to adjust it.
The switch to PS requires new pitman arm, centerlink and control valve. The box is the same for both. If it's the original and from a manual car it may have been over adjusted in the past and worn the gears. I'll PM you a link to help you.

Listen to Gary. He is king of all things corvette steering related.
BTW - my box is better than new Gary. It felt so good that I converted back to a non power steering setup. Thanks!
