I want my vette to have the same look as these cars. I already have front and back aci fender flares. I an considering buying the mini lites front 15x8 and the back 15x10. I was wondering what front and back (back space) would achieve the look of these cars? What tire size in the good years or Hoosier's for front and back. (I wanted to fill in the back flares with maybe a 315 wide tire? Any suggestions to the question above would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
That's definitely a size that would be very difficult to guess. I'd recommend doing research to try and find the tire size on those cars. Most decent tire places will be able to convert sizes to the standard p-metric size. I think Tire Rack has a chart on their website to help convert, too.
in regards to filling out the flares...you'll need a 10" tire up front about an 11.5 or 12" tire out back if you run stock 4" backspacing and want to fill out those flares. Otherwise you'll need a 2" adaptor to move the tires out to the edge of the flare.
Otherwise you'll need to go with less backspacing and I have no idea how the clearances look on the back of the minilites....pm roadracevette I think he's running 15x10 mini's all around on his racer.
Vintage WHeel works does not make a 15" wheel, they are all larger sizes, and will not have the same look. Try PSE wheels in Torrance, CA. I have not heard the tire and wheel spacing from RoadRaceVette yet, but thats what I will do on mine....WHatever Stan has done...
