..... The guage was preloaded. when I turned the crank the guage moved clockwise. I hit the 9o'clock position first then 6 and then as I passed 6 the guage swung the other direction so the 3O'clock position turned out to be -.017 where the other 2 numbers were +.

Wade.....PM me your number so we can discuss this over the phone instead of by posting.
If it did not go past zero and then to .017 it is still a positive reading. Please clarify. P.S...I am trying to call you right now on the phone number on your sales order but it is just ringing......Need to talk to you by phone

Richard
Richard,
I just rechecked all my numbers and verified that the base was secure , bore smooth and added some oil to help the travel
#'s were
12 - 0
3 - +.016
6 - +.048
9 - + .030
I came up with a horizontal calculation of .023 and a Vertical of .024.
Next step mark the high spots on the .021 dowls and insert them with the high side pointing to the 7-8 o'clock position.
WooHoo getting closer!!!!! I am at .008 Horizontal and .008 vertical after calculations!!! Had to stop and take a shower because I have daddy duty. One more fine adjustment tomorrow should put me right where I need to be. Then motor will go in followed by the tranie!!!!
Thanks Richard your initial range was pretty darn close!
How did you identify the high spots on the .021 dowls?

With the 21's it was pretty easy because the high spot was so pronounced. I also noticed that the 21 stamping on both was on the head of the dowl on the same side and in the middle of the max hight. Hope that made sense.
Richard from Keisler gave me a ball park location based on my numbers of having the high spot pointing in the 7 to 8 o'clock position. My first attempt was right at the 8 o'clock position and that got me to between .010 and .012. I turned the dowls about an 1\8 inch counter clockwise and that got me to .008 total runout. Tomorrow another 1\8 inch counter should put me pretty much dead on.
On a completel off topic comment. Took the kids to see IronMan. Awesome, awesome movie. If you are a super hero fan it is a must see. Stay till after the credits for a cool surprise.....

Yours are apparently identified opposite from the LW's, and I should have said the slot on the LW divides the high and low sides. Been a while since I played with any.
Oh, and thanks for the review. Hoping to take that in with my daughter this weekend.
