Default tri power carb

69 427/400. If i want to lean out the center carb. do I turn the idle mixture screw clockwise or counter-clockwise? Which way do I get more gas or less gas?

Hi

You do know that this idle mixture screw only adjusts the mixture in the idle position. Any other position of the gas pedal will not be regulated by this screw at all anymore, but only by the size of the jets.
Those are not adjustable, but can be replaced by different sizes.

The idle mixture gets adjusted by CO reading or by max vacuum at idle.
Initial setting of the screws is I think 1 1/2 turn out ( CCW ).
