I am replacing the headlamp actuators and relay on my 69. I got the actuators off but now the headlamps are stuck in the up position. How do I get them down?

Get down on the ground in front of the Vette and reach up through the holes under the nose to the headlight assemblies. Each one is supported by a 'knee' of sorts, that's spring loaded in the hyper extended position. Just pull the 'knee' towards the front of the car.
Once you get it out of hyper extension, it will fold towards you and the headlight will lower. Do this to each side.

great analogy.
Whatever you do, dont try to force it. Theres a good chance of breaking the cast aluminum/potmetal bracket that holds it to the body of the car. If you are doing it right, it will kind of "buckle" and go down nice and smooth.
DB,
What's funny is I always call that part an 'elbow', I guess that means you're a 'leg man'?

Alan
I like the whole thing...not just the legs.
Anyway, I guess I see it as a knee because I think of the headlight as a body, or assembly, and the thing that supports it up and down would be a leg, which would have a knee in it.
