Default Speed Demon 650 - What Air Cleaner??

I had a Holley 600CFM carb sitting on my new engine with a brand new Trick Flow drop base air cleaner sitting on top. I really like this air cleaner even though it is a cheapy. Anyway, I just got a new BG Speed Demon 650 carb and the air cleaner base will not sit down on the carb.

What air cleaners have you guys successfully put on top of the BG carbs? I'd like to spend as little money as possible and if I could put my Trick Flow top on it that would be nice too. Here's a pic of my TF air cleaner on the Holley.

I got a cheap chrome one from pepboys, spectre or something, cut out two holes for the fuel bowl adjustment screws on top, and used some jb weld and spare aluminum to cover them up, then cut a little notch out for the electric choke, overall it was very easy to do and no one could tell whats under there anyways. I run a 650 speed demon with electric choke, let me know if you want pictures.

I'm using a K&N 7/8" drop base plate on my 750 MS Speed Demon.

That's probably exactly what I'm looking for. It says it clears electric chokes so hopefully it will work for me. Mine hit on the fuel level adjustment screws first before anything else. I would have to imagine that yours are in the same place as mine so this should work.

Thanks.

It will clear the fuel level adjustment screws. You can also use your existing filter and top also. I don't think you will have a problem.
