Default Air con stuff

Im trying to take out old air con stuff, pic below with pipes and clylinder thing marked with green arrows, is that stuff air con, and is it safe to take out??

Yes, that is all part of the a/c system. Any refrigerant that is in the system must be removed before opening it up. By law, the gas must be captured rather than releasing it into the atmosphere. To determine if any refrigerant is in the system, depress the valve in one of the refrigerant access ports (there should be one in the hose connection at the rear of the compressor). You will hear the gas escape if any is present. If none present, you can start removing the a/c parts. BTW, you should fill out your profile as this will help forum members help you. thanks for info, yeah the pipes are all open , disconecting from the ac pump, so the gas must be gone, see the silver pipe thats gones into the brown box attached to the firewall, can that be disconected from the inside of that box, and all this wont affect heater side of things?
