I've seen Acura's with TRD Toyota Racing Development stickers on them (pronounced "TURD"), and I'v seen Honda's with the same TRD on it, and now at lunch, I saw a 1995'ish Honda Preludewith the clear tail lights, a big wing, a ACURA emblem and a SI-R emblem????? WTF?!!!! Was this the VERY RARE ACURA PRELUDE SI-R?!!!! I just don't understand what they're thinking, or what they think WE think. :smash:
It's the look fast syndrome. They want to look fast instead of actually go fast. Be forewarned that there are plenty of fast imports out there though. I believe it was Ganey who once passed this quote on to me :
"You'll find that the slow ones add emblems ; whereas the faster ones take them off :)"
I just don't get the cross breeding. I mean, come on, I think EVERYONE knows that Acura never made the Prelude let alone an SI-R version. And what's up with the TRD stickers on Honda's? I kind of understand the Honda stickers on the Honda's  (although that is certainly not MY thing), but not the TRD's on Honda's , or the Acura emblems on Honda's. That's just stupid.

Nuff said.. :yesnod: :yesnod: That hits the thumb right on the nail :D
Well, Acura is Honda's "high-line" brand. If you look under the "hood" of an Acura NSX, you'll discover a Honda powerplant...
As for what they're thinking with the TRD...who knows. I sure won't put "Ford", "Chevy", "Chrysler" or anything else on my car...it says "CORVETTE" (and "Stingray") and that's all it will ever say. :smash:
