Default Window Alignment and Paint

I am putting the final touches on some mechanical repairs and getting serious about some paint work. I am looking for a quality paint shop in the DC/Alexandria/ Arlington/Manassas/Springfield Virginia area -- anyone have any recommendations; I was told to look at Tony's Corvette Shop...any others?

I also need to adjust my window glass; it is really loose and hits the side of the car when I shut the door. Is this something I can tackle, or should I just let the body shop do it?

I installed new inner and outer door weatherstripping and after doing so the glass was not sliding into the right slot at the top of the door area. I think it had to do with the new outer molding being new or different (I got the set that wilcox recommended). Anyway - I adjusted the window glass myself. It wasn't bad. Their is a procedure in the GM Assembly Manual but it really didn't help - the best thing to do is loosen all the bolts at the top that hold the rails in and have your window almos all the way up with idea of which way it needs adjsuted (more in or out, etc). Now by moving these front and rear rail assemblies from side to side you'll start to see how their adjustment impacts how the glass arrives at the top (front and back sides). There is also a stop on each of the two rails to raise or lower dependng on the situation. But - it sounds like to me that you may just need to adjust the anti-rattle cushions a little to take-up some of the free-play. THis is very simple. Just loosen, slide them closer to glass and re-tighten. One last tip - if you're adjusting the rails positions pay very close attention how sliding each piece impacts the opposite end of the window panel. Try loosening all the bolts that retain these top mounts in place and push the glass where it needs to be and watch how the adjusters move and they'll tell you were they should be.
