Trans squealing
So much for "we'll drive for the summer and make a list for next winter". Seems the list is growing really long now.
Anyway, this was the first weekend that was nice enough to have the tops off and the windows down, so I'm not sure if this is a new sound or not.
Stock '81 auto.
If I put the car in Reverse, Neutral or Drive, everything is great. When I put trans in 1 or 2 manually, I get a fairly loud squeek/squeal that sounds kinds of a like a bad bearing. I only noticed the sound when stopped, not sure if it makes the same sound when rolling.
Any thoughts? It seems to me that Drive and 1 should be basically the same thing when standing right?
