Looking for alternative to the 3M 08115 I have been useing. Its good stuff but at $30 to $40 for a 200ml tube its a bit expensive. I need annother 4 or 5 tubes to finish my front clip. I have a Fusor kit, but haven't figured out what to dispense it with, maybe a cake decorator bag?
Fusor uses a special gun to dispense it,usually your autobody store will let you rent it for the day.We use it so much between all of our family members we bought one.
i would stick with the 3m have used it for awhile on vettes at the shop and no probs yet. '
It will be cheaper to spent the money on the glue now. Than having to redo and buy more paint, clear, and than buy more 3mglue ect. ect. Do it right the first time.
also filler will stick to the 8115 i don't think with fuser filler will stick to it.

Did my birdcage transplant with it and excellent results
I used Evercoat Maxim to bond in my new half inner fender on the passenger side and re-attach the bottom of the outer fender to the birdcage. It seems to be holding fine. It's a two-part adhesive, but it comes in a split tube with a special mixing nozzle that works in a regular caulk gun.

I used the same to bond my front fender and header panel reinforcement...tough as nails once it sets
In the days when it was available we used the GM epoxy kit which contained two parts. This stuff was the same as what they used when building the cars. GM discontinued this around the late 80’s.
However, the closest thing I’ve found to the GM stuff is the Polyester Adhesive that Sermersheim’s sells. This is the same glue they use to bond their factory assembled front ends and it is sold in the gallon. I think one gallon will cost you around 60-70 dollars and you just use the hardener of your choice with it. Red is a slower hardener and blue is pretty fast. If you are a novice go with the red. If properly prepared, you’ll never have to worry about the bonds coming loose!
If you make a pastry cone, mix up the glue and fill the cone you can glue a front end on a car pretty quickly. One gallon is plenty to glue an entire front end together if done properly.
You can order this from them direct, they do not discount it to anyone. 812-424-4701.
