Eagle crank, fixed runout problem...
...I bought a Callies DragonSlayer crank 
Seriously though the Eagle crank didn't look good and had almost .002" runout when installed in my block so I took it back.
The Callies crank is one nice piece, the finish is much better and the runout is near 0. Also the mains and rod journals are all in spec and all within .0001" of each other, that's 1 ten thousands of an inch and well within micrometer operator error
Anyway I am a happy camper and hope to be getting my AFR 227 Eliminator heads next week so I can finish the trial fit of this motor
Crank is forgerd 4340 with 4 inch stroke and 350 mains for 6inch rod

I have to test fit everything and then get it balanced and then assemble, so another month or so and it should be ready to fire, I do take my time but they usually don't blow up

Will you get to dyno it?
I'm really excited to get Curt's car with his fresh 355 Vortec on the dyno here in town. I have my heart set on what you might think is a small HP number of around 325 at the wheels but for that car and what he spent that's very good.

Oh yeah it will be going to the dyno. According to my calculations it should make over 500/500 hp/tq at the rear wheels

How much did the dragon slayer weigh? I got a callies 350 mains with pendulum cut throws advertised at 44#.
After breaking the eagle 4340 forging, I said screw it and bought one of the better cranks made. Yes, it also has next to no run out

I would never buy an Eagle crank again, thing looked like crap, couldn't wait for a reason to send it back

Thanks guys, I am getting a little more excited now that the parts are coming in. I have been waiting a long time. Allot of the parts aren't off the shelf stuff they have to be made to order 
Surfer69, crank runout is one of the easiest measurements to make. You simply put the front and rear bearings in and put the crank in and measure the middle journal with a dial indicator while you turn the crank
