Default diff crossmember reinforcing kit

Hi All.
I ordered a differential cross member reinforcing kit from corvette central, but am a bit worried. Instead of giving me 2 studs and 4 nuts like they list in the catalog, they supplied me with 2 bolts. Has anyone else gotten them with the bolts and felt they will hold up?

Thanks,
Andy

should be 2 bolts, 2 lock washers (i think), and 2 large aluminum discs. the discs provide the reinforcement for the OEM bushings. i got them from CC and they install easily. i painted the discs black. good luck

I would call them to get the correct studs. I know VBP has them.

I know I feel better using studs. PM me if you can't find what you need.

Hi

Just for my info, why would studs be better than bolts ?
Stronger ? Or can't bottom out like too long bolts or ?

Thanks guys, tried to call corvette central saturday morning, didnt answer phones, will do on monday

Gunther, having a stud with 2 nuts will bolt the mount in the factory cushion as well as at the disc that strengthens it. One bolt might be prone to flex and brake at some point as the head of the and the threaded part in the cross member have a gap.

CC customer non-service is not "in" on Saturdays. I don't use CC anymore because of many order problems during my restro.
