Default ACCel Advance Curve Kit

I ordered an advance curve kit with springs for the distributor. It has springs which are gold, silver, and dark colored. Which spring bring sin the timing the quickest. The directions that came with it has a chart for the springs but they are labeled red, blue, and white--obviously sent me the wrong directions--no springs that color.

Look very carefully at the wire size of the springs. You should be able to see the difference in wire diameter but mic the eyelets if you can't see it. The thinnest wire gage will be the "lightest" springs that will bring the mechanical advance in the quickest. You don't have to use them in pairs if the curve doesn't suit you, you can use two different springs to fine tune.

The colors vary from one brand to another, but they all represent light, medium, and heavy springs. I have done a lot of timing tests with various spring combinations. In my tests, one light and one medium worked the best in the last 3 tests, including the latest with a new distributor 2 days ago. I get all 36 degrees in by 3200 rpm.
