I cleaned every thing good with wax/grease remover, dry fitted, and made sure I didn't stretch it as i glued it on. Then closed doors with t-tops on and windows up.

I just did this on my 76. It's not hard.

Make sure you have plenty of adhesive remover for the doors, there was a lot of adhesive from the factory that needed to come off. I spent some time trying to unscrew the rear window weatherstrip to remove it only to find out it was riveted. I ended up just ripping it off and drilling out the rivet. On the T-Tops make sure you don't let the back of the weatherstrip near the window extend to far or you will have a problem with it hanging up on the T-Top hardware (triangle piece).

All in all an easy job. Now I just need to get the windows dialed in for the new weather strip.

Good luck!

get some throw away vinyl painters gloves, and change them often to prevent fingerprints of adhesive from mysteriously appearing all over the car.
drape the car near the area to be worked with some kind of dropcloth. it can be something as easy as newspaper, just something to prevent the fine, wispy threads of adhesive from being carried in air currents and landing on the car. spread a thin coat of adhesive on the weatherstrip and the car where it's being cemented. let it get tacky (there's fast and regular adhesive, i like the regular so i have a little more working time), then put a fresh layer on the car and position the strip and hold with tape or clamps. the reason to put the fresh layer on the car is to prevent the weatherstrip from flopping around and coming i contact with a painted surface.

with all of the above.

I did it on my 76 some time back. Mine is a late 76, so the T top seals were different than the early 76 T top seals. (found out when the first set did not fit)

Mainly, take your time!!! Clean the old glue off and don't use tons of glue on the new seals.

Well, I've got the driverside top and pillar posts on.
I think I wasn't suposed to take the piece of crome trim off of the outside edge of the t-top. I had to reseal and fasten it back. It was kindof a pain in the rear.
So then my test drive revealed a little less wind noise, is this normal?
I expected no wind noise. And the window doesn't want to go all the way up. Then when I get it up from opening the door rolling up and pushing in from the outside it doesn't look even along the top. Is there a window adjustment in the door?.
I'm greatfull for all the previous advise, look forward to future advise.

Its a 76 corvette not a new ZO6

Theres gonna be some wind noise

Just turn up the radio and cruise

The tracks for your windows do move and can be adjusted to fit better
