I thought power locks how hard could they be to fix. Checked the fuse OK. Took door panels off. Replace the plug on the drivers door. Wires were thin and one broke off. Locks still won't work. I changed the passenger power lock 2 months ago. The drivers lock always worked. Even when the right door didn't I could use some help with this.
Do you have an AIM for your car? Maybe look up the location of the power window relay and replace it. It's possible the relay blew and that's causing your problem.
[QUOTE=Oldguard 7;1565874200]If it frustrates you so. Another option is to remove the lock actuators and you will have manual locks until you are ready to repair them.[/QU
That's what I did. I think I'll be ready to repair them...never.:o

I have a shop manual. But it doesn't have much on power locks. A relay. Yes, that could be my problem. Thanks for the heads up. Now, dose anyone know where I could locate this little bugger??? It would make things a lot easier.

Have you used a test light on the tan and gray wires to check for voltage while pushing one of the switches?
EDit-Forgot-there is no relay on the locks

You changed the passenger power lock switch... Did you also change the passenger door lock plug like you did for the driver side? I know that both the driver and passenger sides are connected in series, meaning that both need to be hooked up correctly in order for the whole system to work, and like others have mentioned make sure that you have a solid ground in the passenger side. This common ground is for both sides. Hope this helps you out.
It will be on the right door close to the switch-2 black wires coming from switch and attached to the door with a screw.
edit-I believe if its an early 78 it will be a single black wire down by the motor but will still have 2 wires coming out of the plug at the switch-positions B and E
