I've seen spacers for the water pump pully. It's just a disk with 4 holes in it that goes over the studs behind the pully.
I don't know if a similar animal exists for the ps pump pully or not. In any case, you'll need longer studs if a spacer is used.
Was the face of the new pully that much thicker than the one you removed? Was it just that bad of an alignment before and you never noticed? Right pully set?
yeah, they lined up before, but with the new pulley only the power steering pulley doesnt line up.....makes me think that the pulley on there isnt original, but it looks like the ones listed in zip products....it looks the new crank pulley is longer in overall height, but its the same kit that most others used...5070.
Well, We finally ended up putting on Chris' original pulleys again. We couldnt get the March units to line up. :cry
On top of that, We were going to swap out his bad clutch fan with my old clutch fan(but still good). That didnt work either.... Did you know that 74's have a different shaft size than 69's????? We didnt!
In short, we took his car apart, and put it back together exactly the same way. :cry Don't you hate it when that happens!!!!
What a freaking mess!! I feel like a :troll today! and about to :U
Anyone have any ideas what can be done to space the PS pump pulley, or know why this pulley is recessed so much??
Mike.....thanks for your help! I appreciated your help and offering the fan and clutch................but actually....thanks for nothing!!!!! :D
