I am looking at a edelbrock rpm airgap intake manifold with a 800cfm thunder avs carb http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku

I have a 75 350, stock hood, will it clear it? I have an edelbrock dropped air intake, i would rather change that than drop hundredes for a new hood...
any info?

 

I have a rpm intake with a demon 650 on it and a edelbrock drop base air cleaner on my 74. It clears with about 1/4 inch to the hood with a .3 inch spacer under carb. I.m using a k&n 14 X 3 inch air filter, which is about 2 tenths of in inch under 3 inches. With the filter that came with the edelbrock the top of the cleaner was barely rubbing the hood.
