Default 74 seat install

Hello, I am reinstalling the seats in my 74 and I've run into a problem with the rear outermost bolt. When I took them out that bolt was missing on both sides. All three other bolts tread into the underbody plates but this one seems to need a nut on it. The problem is that the frame does not allow proper access to the other side of the bolt and I can't get a nut in there to start it. I think I'm missing something as this doesn't seem like an efficient way to install the seats at the factory.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis

Travis,
I have a 74, and you can get a nut on a bolt for that hole of the seat.
It is a 5/16-18 bolt 1 1/4 long. Use a body washer with it.
First put the bolt thru the hole.
Sec. slide the washer on to the bolt. Try to **** it to stay on the bolt.
Third. With your finger tips you can start the nut. You have to hold the
bolt at the same time. Tighten with fingers, when with ratch up top
and wrench on an angle down below. It is a pain in the a$$.
Good luck. glassman74

I agree, outside back is nut and bolt.
You can get to it through a hole in the frame.
Hope this helps.

that hole is bolt and nut from the factory, access is through the triangular hole bottom of frame. drop in bolt, wit door open you should be able to hold the bolt down as you find the threaded side with your fingers, use a body (big/flat) washer. To tighten it, you can get a wrench on it at an angle through the opening, ratchet it from the interior.
