New drivetrain
I've got the ball in motion on the new drivetrain. I dropped off my 400 sbc at the shop this weekend just to be checked out before going into the car. I had some issues with the original shop and have talked to others with bad experiences with them, so just want a second set of eyes to go over it before I do the swap.
The motor is a .60 over 400, sportsman II heads, forged internals, .515" cam, RPM air gap and Holley 770. The motor has mostly idling/tuning time in my Cutlass project that has been abandoned. I'll be getting some pics once this project gets going full speed in case anyone is interested. Hope to be doing the swap mid/late July, depending on when I get it back from the shop.
I'm also ordering a stage 2 2004r and other items for the swap from BTO. The rear end is up in the air, currently a 3.08 but will likely swap in lower gears once it's on the road in a few weeks and I see how it drives, acceleration/highway.
