Default T-5 Install Done

I bought a custom made T-5 from SKSpeed in Long Island. I brought it to a shop that said they build transmissions and they refused to do it, so I did it myself. The bellhousing bolted right on and the front input shaft fit into the pilot bearing. The stock driveshaft worked perfectly and so did the transmission mounts. I had to pull the shifter through the plate where the cigarette lighter is and relocate the outlet, but after sawing the shifter bolts, my car shifts smoothly and the shifter doesn't hit anything. Also, I can have drinks in my cupholders now and still shift freely. First gear is 2.95 (17% increase or like going from my 3.36 to a 3.93 rear end) and the overdrive is 0.75. Free free to ask any questions. The transmission was $1600 and I gave them another T-5 for a $350 core charge. Cutting some fiberglass for the shifter location was the only permanent change I made. The input shaft accepts a 26 spline vs a 10 spline clutch disk and the yoke is the same 27 spline yoke. The speedo has the wrong gear in it, but that is will be easy to fix. The reverse lights soldered right into the side and it took 2 1/2 quarts of ATF oil. Brian was very helpful and I would recommend to anyone.

I'd be interested in all the gory details as I happen to have a spare T-5 sitting around....

I did the math and the overdrive appears to be a 0.60. It is amazing. My GPS verified the speed I was going.

Everything fit except for the shifter and I had to get a new clutch disk. I need a speedo gear as well. When it says 50, I am going 65. What would you like to know.

It is in a '69 (my only car).
