I have a stock 69 427/390 coupe. Just the other day, after I started it, the windshield panel opened but the wiper switch was off. When I turn off the ignition I can push the panel back down with no problems, but when I start it again, I get the same results. I am assuming I have a vacuum problem somewhere. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks in advance.
RFat16: I have the same issue. I think (I'm not sure) that the vacuum diagrams are generic. Our '69s have only one vacuum relay at the headlights, and thus use only one heavy vac line to the front from the vac tank instead of two. So the tank has two lines instead of 3...

Your lacking vacuum in hose #17 in the pic...the vacuum originates at the T connector D....Follow from D to hose #17--If you do have vacuum in #17 then the wiper vacuum relay diaphragm could be bad or the entire relay.
DW,
Do you happen to have the good Dr.'s diagram for 71?
Regards,
Alan
I looked in my photobucket and I dont have it there.I had a computer meltdown awhile back and had to have a computer repair place save my documents to a disc.I will go see if I still have one by the Dr.,I'm pretty sure I have one by Zip but let me make sure its one of their corrected versions.
Alan I have a 71-72 from Zip but cant seem to get it to upload from the restore disc to photobucket so I can post it.If you would like that one when my girlfriend gets home from work I can have her show me how to do it.
DW,
When you mention the 'corrected' version, are you referring to the location of the 'blue' hose on the headlight switch? That's the only error I know of. I would like to have a correct copy, thanks.
Regards,
Alan

Yes the blue hose but the hoses at the pulldown switch were also switched on the old diagram.I'm still working on how to get photobucket to take the diagram. It keeps saying its not a jpeg.I dont know how to change it from a pdf to a jpeg.Dang I'm stupid with computers. Why cant it be as easy as working on vacuum systems.
edit-I give up .......Alan if you pm an e-mail address I think I can send it that way otherwise we'll have to wait for a pro to tell me how to do this.
