Default C6 Seats

I own a 82 with a manual driver's seat. I hate the factory seats. They are in good shape but are killing my back. Will C6 seats fit without any mods to the floorpans?

I think even if you remove the C6 tracks they will sit just a bit higher than stock. If you have room to spare, then you won't have to modify the seat pans. If you're a tall person, you might consider that option.

The 82s with power drivers seat has a MUCH lower driver side floorpan than earlier models, or even the passenger side floorpan. You will be able to set up a C6 seat with plenty of height room to spare. You might even have to raise up the seat in order to get it to the height which feels normal.

I just did the C5 Z06 seats in my 82 and found to needed to raise the seat so I didnt feel I was sittin' to low and Im 6'1"

Is this also true for '80's and '81's with the power seat option?

Go ahead and remove your seats, its very easy as you just have the nuts under the car to loosen to lift the seats out. The seats have studs on the tracks that fit through holes in the floor. VERY EASY.

See for yourself if your driver side floorpan is lower than the passenger. I would assume all 80-82 are identical.
